We will leave the Thompsontown UM Church at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2011. Each youth is responsible for the $10 ticket fee and any purchases, food or otherwise. We will be stopping for fast food for supper. We will return to the church late, possibly close to midnight. Youth can be taken home afterwards by the youth leaders at the request of the parents.
Highway 35 Youth Ministry is hosting their second annual Dodgeball Tournament at East Juniata on January 23rd. We will be enrolling teams to take part, so if you are interested in attending, please signup in the Wreck Room. The Tournament starts at 2:00 PM and runs until it's over (duh). Sadly, that would be when there is only one team left standing, so we really don't know what time it will end.

Wednesday, Nov.3rd: Hayride in Evendale at the home of Rod Knouse. Starts at 6 PM and ends at 8:30 PM. Hot Dogs, Smores and drinks after the hayride. We will be leaving from TTown Church at 5:30PM or you can meet us at the farm. No money needed, however all youth must have a permission slip and dress appropriately--we don't want anyone sick for the retreat!
Thursday, Nov 4th: Because of the hayride and the youth retreat, there will be no Thursday meeting next week. Feel free to spend the time getting ready for the retreat!
Friday, Nov 5th:We will be leaving the church at 6pm sharp (please be here by 5:45PM) and will be traveling by bus to Hartman Center. All youth must have turned in their forms and paid their fee to attend the retreat. We will return to the church at approx. 11:45am on Sunday, Nov 7. If any changes need to be made to the permission slips (medicine changes, physical restrictions, etc.) please let Danny know in writing before the bus leaves Friday night.

Permission slips are available for our yearly Sr. High youth retreat which is to be held Friday, January 14 through Monday, January 17. (Martin Luther King Day, so there is no school that day.) The cost is $30 per person unless there are siblings attending in which case it is $20 per person. As always, we ask that everyone bring a snack to share. There will also be a formal meal on Saturday Night, so please bring appropriate clothing (no tuxes needed, just something nice).
We will be leaving from the church at 6PM on Friday and expect to return around 2 PM on Monday. We are expecting a rather large turnout, as a result, additional sleeping arrangements may need to be made. What does this mean? We need--heavy emphasis on the "NEED" part--to have these permission slips turned in by the road rally on December 19th. If we do not have the permission slips by December 19th, you will not be allowed to attend. Let me say it again: December 19th, we need your permission slips.
